Hi there PL Concert Band!!! Your new DM here ;) Haha okay. So like Lingyi I'm gonna post my impromtu speeches are also not my forte (haha Lingyi!).

So firstly, like what I said in the AVA, I'm quite shocked to become Drum Major. I'm sure all of you know that I wanted to be Band Major right? Haha. I was kinda disappointed at first but now I understand why you guys and the teachers and Lingyi chose me to be the Drum Major. It's because you saw the potential in me! So will make sure I'll work even harder! I will make sure I make Drum Major a post that won't just appear during National Day :) I'm gonna have to enforce the rules so don't blame me if I scold you! I will do it if I have to okay? Oh and as for throwing the mace I'm still scared so don't laugh at me if I drop it okay? Later I cry :( Also as for being your new student conductor (which still amazes me) I will try my best to learn conducting as well as Charmaine and Lingyi! And I will learn the warm-ups! Haha but again, don't laugh at me ah! Being the new SL to flute section I'm gonna make sure I'll bring the flute section to greater heights and make us an outstanding section with the help of Ling :)

Finally, I'm gonna work hand-in-hand with Jieling and the rest of the EXCO to improve PL Band and make us the best CCA in the entire school because PL Concert Band is full of pretty girls (chio bus) and awesome girls who love their CCA and love each other :') United as one, Fight for Glory, I LOVE PL CONCERT BAND!! ♥

Okay, I think you all are in shock like who's this person writing here~ Its me:D Jieling, your new Band Major :D I made a pact with Kaiying to post a post together! See how close we are^^I am rather awe-struck-ed that i am the new BM, however, since I have been chosen to be your BM for 2011 and 2012, I WILL TRY MY HARDEST TO LEAD THE BAND! :P My leading style maybe different from Lingyi and I know that it takes time to adjust! I hope that I will make PLCB an enjoyable place to be in where friendships can be formed and that we can excel as a band! We may not have to be the best CCA in the school, we just have to be proud as a BAND-IT! That's what I hope to achieve! Hi band!

It's still your EX-bm posting hahhaaha. Okay, this should be my last post before Jieling & Kaiying enter this space~~ :)

As i didn't get to say a proper speech yesterday (impromtu speeches aren't exactly my forte :/), I hope I'll be able to put whatever I wanna say to you guys into words here, for all you PLCBand-its to read. (EXCLAIMER: It might get kinda long....so yeah.)

Yesterday officially marked the end of my band journey in PLCB. It definately hadn't been easy, but one thing it sure is, cliche as it sounds, it is memorable. It is these few years which I'll remember most even when I leave PL in a few months time.

Now let's rewind back to the 3 years back when I was just a recruit in PLCB, nooby and well, smallER? HAHA. As my sister was also from PLCB (she's 3 years older than me), i long knew about the happenings of band even before joining. This includes the crazy passion everyone had for band and music, the tiring practices they went through, etc. Thus i joined the band with that excitement and anticipation to see WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS BAND THAT MY SISTER ALWAYS BOAST TO ME ABOUT. And as you all already know, i was posted to the Saxophone section. This sparked off that interest in me towards saxophone and music-making. So there you have, a really enthusiastic sec 1 trying to master the saxophone (wasn't really successful at that time but oh wells) and looking up to the seniors whom I respected.

When our batch finally joined the main band, i don't know how the others felt, but the first time I played together with the seniors, man, it was just magical to me. Okay maybe at that time i was still new to BAND so basically everything that is loud and tuneful prolly was magical to me. :P That's not the point anyway. The point is, I felt so inspired to one day, be able to play as well as those seniors who did too. I felt so inspired to be a part of that magic created.

I'll skip everything inbetween for now. Then, I got appointed Band Major, I won't repeat whatever happened in the beginning. It's over. And I'm really glad that all of you placed aside all your personal conflicts and differences and came together as one. Many people say i changed PLCB, but I think it's the opposite. PLCB changed me. Being BM really taught me so much, including 'forcing' me to mature. Be it handling different kinds of people, having to be sensitive to all your feelings, controlling my emotions, or even learning to depend on one another, are just some of the many other stuffs which I gained from these time. Supporting and leaning on one another for encouragement and motivation has always been one of PLCB's trait, where you girls helped each other other along the way, pulling one another up and continued to press on!!

The road to SYF definately wasn't easy, and I'm sure you girls know that too. After switching song to Seventh Night of July, we were attempting the impossible. I mean like, HELLO?!!?!?? But Sir still took the risk, because he believed that we would conquer all our obstacles, and we did. :) Thankfully, we started our SYF prep so much earlier such that i didn't need to go through what Mel went through......(the madness from feb to april) From there, we started gearing towards what we wanted. Even though there were times when we seemed to have failed (mini-syf?), but let me tell you, the very fact that we picked ourselves up and continued fighting this battle, was already half the battle won. Why? Because it merely showed that as musicians, we weren't gonna let a little setback pull us down. We weren't gonna let just one performance determine who we are.

Following so, we had our BAND CAMP 10' where we had the amazing race, late night practices, and music exchange with PSSB and VSCB. All these are just another addition to the fond memories of PLCB where we got to know one another even better, fostering better friendships. Oh, I remember when I announced to the band that we would be the one organising the music exchange, especially with VSCB (c'mon, it's a known fact that they ARE good), you guys kinda freaked out..... Like OMG WHUTTTTTT. HAHA and at that time our SNOJ wasn't really ready to be performed, but we still attempted. :)

From january to march you girls practiced tirelessly (even though there were times when we slacked down...), including our second band camp, which was actually an intensive practice camp. We spent more than 10 hours practicing a day. WOW. Then, the music exchange at Deyi sec with more than 15 schools. Those who went for the music exchange at Deyi in 2009 would DEFINATELY remember how painful that experience was. So in a way, we all were kinda scared just by mentioning DEYI. But because of that too, we practiced even harder, to ensure that we WILL NOT let history repeat itself. Compared to the our first performance at the music exchange in Nov, you could really hear the significant improvement of the WHOLE band. :)

Finally, the BIG day came...nervous as we all were, we did not let the nervousness and fear control us. As Sir always say, 'Courage is not in having no fear, but in overcoming the fear.' and as a band, we showed courage. We enjoyed that short 10 mins on stage, not letting all our hardwork for months go to waste. Even though the award we got at the end wasn't what we wanted, but to me, we gained so so so much more than just it. And this SILVER does NOT determine who we are. I think y'all know what's coming......We may have gotten a Silver award, but that does NOT mean that we are a Silver band.

So as the Sec 1-3s continue on their journey in PLCB, you girls are going to walk on this journey with COURAGE, CONFIDENCE and most importantly, ONENESS. Let this new team of leaders steer you towards greater heights, believe in them, let them continue to ignite that passion in you.

PL Concert Band has indeed been an integral part of my life these 3+ years, where the friendships forged will last for a lifetime, where the memories created will never be erased, where PLCBand-its UNITE AS ONE, FIGHT FOR GLORY!

Sorry for the serious lack of updates recently, didn't use the computer till today....

This announcement is for ALL. You should have gotten news from your section leaders already, regarding the band hoodie. As many of you have been requesting for it, we are now taking orders for them. Those that wants it, please inform your section leaders by SATURDAY (5 MARCH), 1PM. Thereafter, we will NOT count your order in. Size will be the size you indicated on the band contact list the last time.

Each hoodie is priced at $29. (If more people buy, I can try bargaining with the supplier to lower the price) After this time, we will not make any more hoodies till next year, 2012.

This is also a reminder for all to keep the following dates of the March Holidays free:
> 16-17th Mar, Wednesday and Thursday. BAND CAMP 2011
> 18th Mar, Friday. MINI-SYF
> 19th Mar, Saturday. MUSIC EXCHANGE @ DEYI

Yupp all dates are COMPULSORY so unless you have a medical certificate/valid parent's letter, everyone is expected to turn up. Tip: Try to complete all your homework before Wednesday so you needn't rush like mad on Sunday!!

As you all know, the band room is open for sectionals/individuals EVERYDAY, so I hope for those that need/want more practice, please do come. IT'S THE LAST ONE MONTH. EVERY SINGLE PRACTICE IS CRUCIAL.

Here are a few announcements so please take note and help to spread it around.

1) Sec 4s have COMPULSORY practice tmrw (27 Jan), 4.30pm-6pm SHARP. You are allowed to leave house meeting earlier.

2) The band room will be open for SECTIONALS/INDIVIDUALS on Friday (28 Jan) from 3.10pm onwards, all are encouraged to come to practice Seventh Night of July, Singapore Flyer and March Together.

3) Saturday practice (29 Jan) is COMPULSORY for EVERYONE, not only the sec 4s. Those that are unable to make it, please let Mr Pang know.

4) All consent forms are to be handed in BY Saturday, 29 Jan. There is ample time for you to get your form (if you still do not have it) and signed.

Please ask either your section leader/heads should you have any questions or doubts regarding practice schedules or anything else.

Everything is started to get real busy and stressful, but I believe as long as everyone of us put in our BEST effort, we'll definately be able to do it! :)

Hi band.

Okay i hope all of you really went home to ponder and reflect over everything i said on Thursday, no one knows it except you yourself. If nothing went into you during that whole 40 mins, just remember this, PL Concert Band is ONE family no matter what. As for how you want to treat this 'family', that i'll leave to you to think about.

Today is the start of 2011, the start of something NEW. Whatever that has happened in the previous year, it's over. So in this brand new year, let's all work hard towards our goal (GOLD) and i definately believe that this band is capable of achieving it, when we all come together as one and work hard (work smart).

We all make choices everyday of our life. As I said before, YOU choose yourself. Whether you play for SYF, it's all up to you. It's not Sir/Ms Ten/seniors that choose you, YOU are choosing yourself. If you practice hard and is up to standard, you have already chosen yourself. Similarly, if you decide to slack off and procrastinate all day long, you too already pulled yourself out of SYF.

Okay as promised, here is the 'A day at disneyland' soundtrack. I couldn't upload the song only so i made it into a video. Hope it's okay. Please try to practice to it while following the music and i'm sure it'll help. Remember the 6/8 timing is double beat, not triple. Familiarise yourself with this piece so that it will be alot easier when we practice it again on Tuesday. :)

This is a reminder that Tuesday's band practice will be from 2-5pm as school ends at 1.25pm. Please be punctual and help remind your friends too.

Okay sorry for posting this so late but......

BAND CAMP 2010 WAS A TOTAL SUCCESS AND MADLY AWESOME! :)

Thank you all you girls that planned, attended, enjoyed, missed the camp together with me, and the only reason why the camp can be so great is because of you girls there.

I hope all of us brought home something in one way or another, be it the experiences, lessons from masterclasses, friendship with the members from the other bands, fellowship with each other (through all the games the games comm thoughtfully planned out), learning points from the long hours of practice (NIGHT PRACTICE OMG) and music exchange, or maybe memories of OUR band, as one. :)

The next band prac is 22nd Dec, Wednesday. 9am-12pm. Attire: school uniform/any band shirt with band skirt or pinafore. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL.

1) Attire for this Tuesday's band practice (3-6pm) for the sec 1-2s: Any band tee over band skirt/pinafore. School uniform will do too. Please be punctual!

2) Remember to sign your form by Tuesday and should you be unable to come for any of the practices, please get your parents to write a letter clearly stating the reason.

3) Please remember all Sir had taught the last band practice: Use the air to aid in the music expression, be it dynamics or what. Don't restrain your flow of air. Keep in pulse, on time! Balance with your section and the band.

Hi band!

Hope the last 2 practices was productive and that we get the whole rough idea of SNOJ! :) Remember what Sir said okay, like the intonation, phrasing ending, tone, kinda stuffs.

This is a reminder to check the band practices for the rest of the term, as well as during the holidays. Please try to come for ALL the practices as we're gearing hard for SYF and you wouldn't want to miss so much. As for the band camp, alot of you have been asking me stuffs like the sleeping, the activities, etc. All these will be released in due time, so don't worry bout such stuffs! Worry more bout SNOJ!! Hahaha :)

Hi band! Just some things to take note of:

1) Tmr's founders' day performance will involve only the SEC 3s. Please be in the band room, CHANGED with your instruments by 7.20AM. Come earlier if need be to change or what. Be in your FULL MARCHING UNIFORM, which includes: Beret, blouse, vest, fan, skirt, high socks, ribbon, boots. Be punctual!

2) The next band prac is Tuesday, 19th October. THERE IS NO BAND TOMORROW.

3) Please do try come up with design(s) for either the band tee/band uniform/band emblem. It's our band, if we don't do it, who will?

Lastly, please go visit the BAND NOTICE BOARD tmr once you go into school! :) :)

Hi all!

Wow seems so long since i last posted, HAHA. Yupp anyway here are a few announcements and reminders please take note of them. :)

1. There is NO band this Thursday, practice only resumes on TUESDAY, 12 October. Normal timing, 3-6pm.

2. Reminder to commitee that the meeting will be THIS THURSDAY, 9-11am in the band room. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL. Attire is any school related shirts or school uniform. You need not bring anything, except for those with their proposals or what sort. Eg: Games comm

3. Those that have yet to pay band fund, WEDNESDAY AKA TOMORROW IS YOUR DEADLINE. Following so, punishments will be imposed, it's been far TOO long. You have to find KARLYN (3A2) either during morning assembly or any possible time.

Yupp ok that's about it. Hope your papers went okay so far, LAST DAY TOMORROW! :)

Hi band. :) This is prolly the last time you're gonna hear from me till October.

Tuesday was the last band prac till EOYs end, so band will resume on 12th October, 3-6pm. Yupp, remember to bring back your instruments and stuffs then!

As you all might already know, we are designing a new band shirt AND new band uniform. So all of you can design either the band shirt or uniform and pass your design to me. For the band shirt, the deadline is BY THE END OF EOYS. For the band uniform, it MUST be by the END OF NEXT WEEK. Which is Term 4 week 1. You can go research on other band uniform and maybe incorporate some in. You can design in groups/pairs/individually. It's all up to you!

And please remember to inform your SLs beforehand (at least 1 day in advance) if you're unable to go for ANY band practice.

Till then, all the best for EOYs! Don't die of excessive mugging please! :)

Hahahah ok i think i'm on a high pill or something now.

Anyway, tmrw's the FINAL TDC rehearsal before we go out there and rock it! It is from 3-6pm. But it might drag longer, depending on all the groups performing. Those that end lesson at 3.10pm or later, ask to be excused from class at 3pm and hurry go to the band room. Regarding the attire, we'll be wearing the ORANGE band tee with bandskirt instead of the BLACK band tee. (Unless you want to smell stinky on tues!)

Everyone please remember to sign your forms and hand them in on Tuesday. And bring the $4 band fund or our personalised PLCB loanshark will come after you!!

HI BAND. :) Hahah ok quite a number of announcements and reminders today!

1. There isn't any band on 31 August (Teacher's day celebration) but we'll have our make-up practice on 7 Sept Tuesday. We will inform you of the timing again on Thursday. :)

2. This coming Friday, 27 August is our band phototaking, A PROFESSIONAL ONE!! Say 'YAY' hahaha. Yupp ok so remember to bring your full concert uniform which includes: Blouse, vest, fan, skirt, stockings, court shoes.

The stockings must be skin colour and the court shoes must be pure black, with a heel of about 2 inch (NO 5 INCH OR WHAT OK). And the tip must be rounded, NOT YOUR MUM'S POINTED HEELS.

Sec ones will be in your school uniform. :) So the band room will be opened earlier (around 2.45-3pm) and for those of you who will end lesson late, you can leave about 5-10 mins earlier to go change and stuffs, then meet all of us directly at the Parade Square.

3. Those that bought the black band tee, it costs $15. Please bring your money on Thursday! OH and i think the shirts are out of stock already.

4. Please try to see if you can go support Ms Ten in her concert. It's on the 28th August (this sat), 7pm at our own Agape Concert Hall! Tickets cost only $10 and you can see 4 schools perform! All the performers are only Sec 1 and 2 so it'll be a great chance for the Sec 1s to go have a look at their standard and BE INTIMIDATED. (Kidding) Ok enough of advertising. If you are interested to go, individually/group/section, let me know BY THURSDAY. :)

5. The people performing for the TDC, remember to go borrow the black band tee from the Sec 3s who are not performing or otherwise, the Sec 4s. The next rehearsal will be THIS COMING THURSDAY. But i think we're pretty fine just a little clean up here and there! YAY. :)

6. I've added in the song 'The Seventh Night of July' in our playlist below the tagboard. So yall can go listen and see if we like it more than Symphonic Episode 1. Remember our deal with Sir???????? :))))

Hii band! Ok due to the overwhelming questions we've received over the weekend, hope these would clear your doubts.

The band room will be open from around 1.25pm tmrw (2 Aug) for the people performing to practice, but others are welcomed to come practice on your own too. But we will close band room at 4.30pm.

For those that still haven't got your socks, it's okay. You can buy them from the band. As for boots, it need not be the EXACT boots your seniors are wearing but it MUST be glossy black boots with laces, with a slight heel at the back. From what i heard, you can get them from some Beach Road market, opp Golden Mile Complex. (i have no idea where that is too sorry!) Or Bata might have it too.

As for those people that borrowed uniforms/beret from the band, make sure you return them after NDP, clean and in good condition ok!

Oh and the sec 1s that still dont have uniform, please ask your SLs to ask their sec 4s because some of them dont wanna lend it to us. Hopefully if you ask they'll lend you! :)

Attire: Come in your PE attire for drills and pt. After lunch, everyone will change into your school uniform (please take note, its no longer PL lite shirt).

For tomorrow's Physical training, the venue is at the basketball court. Yes, it's the sun! We will be going down on time so please do not be late! In anycase that you are late, please go to the basketball court straight and not to the parade square.

Next band prac: 22nd June, 9am-4pm.

Hiii band! Yupppp im back again to give yall your latest announcements from today's practice and also some reminders for tmrw's practices and more to come. :)

Okkkk firstly for tomorrow's band practice, attire for EVERYONE is school uniform. And please do come on time. (remember we have our late coming punishments now!!) :>

And for all 'acting sls' (i know this sounds really dumb but yeah...) please remember to get your section's spoilt instruments which needs to be repaired and pass it to Ms Ten. If you're unsure whether it's like spoilt spoilt, you can clarify with Sir or whoever. :)

Yupp and another thing is that the JLs have already fixed quite a number of stands from the big pile of assumingly spoilt stands. So sections who are SERIOUSLY LACKING in stands can go help yourself to one. BUT PLEASE DO NOT SPAM TAKE, the other sections need them too! :) All the available-for-take-stands can be found under a table. (we'll remind you again tmrw)

Ok and the last thing (im sorry if im being sooooo naggy haha) remember to arrange your shoes neatly on the SHOE RACK or risk having them get missing!! :P

Hi everyone

I know many of you may be feeling disappointed and discouraged cos of today, but I just want to say don't be. What had been done today is done and we cannot change it. But we still have the chance to decide how we want to perform on HeARTbeat and Emmanuel. I know all of you really want play well for the concert. So lets learn from our mistakes we made today and make good use of the time we have left to work together as a band to give the best performance ever.

After working so hard for the past few months, putting in so much of our effort and time to practice, I'm sure we deserve a REALLY EXTREMELY big round of applause, but all of our efforts will go to waste if we don't perform well which WE CAN. If we can play well in the band room, we can too in the concert hall. Don't be nervous and forget everything when you are nervous like Mr Pang said.

If you have stage fright, here are some tips:)

Tip # 1: Make Fun of Your Audience In Your Mind
One effective and well-known tip for reducing stagefright is to imagine your audience in funny ways, so as to make it less daunting to perform in front of them!
You could imagine their heads to be watermelons, and think of how silly it would be to have an audience of watermelons watching you perform!

Another useful tip would be for you to look through your audience by fixing your visual focal point at a point far behind them.
The audience will still think you are looking at them, but because you are not looking at their faces or their eyes, it makes it less scary for you onstage as a performer!

Tip # 2: Deep Breaths...
Whenever we feel the onset of stagefright or performance anxiety, it would do good for us to practice deep breathing to calm our nerves and stay relaxed and focussed.
Another way for you to relax is to tense up all the muscles in your body and clench your fists hard, and then relax all your muscles and let all the tension leave your body.
This allows you to feel more relaxed and let the stress or nervousness leave your body before you go onstage to perform!

Okay enough of that just rmb that the audience is your friend. Instead of seeing the audience as people there to be critical of you, try to remember they are really just there to support you and enjoy the music. Try to take the thing that is making you most nervous—playing in front of a lot of people—and use it to your advantage. And as long you know your pieces well, you will play well:)

And the most important thing is JUST HAVE FUN.

"What's the point of all this work if you can't enjoy yourself? Try to remember what it is you love about your instrument and music in the first place. You spend so much time practicing, and at the end of the day, a concert, whether 5 minutes or 2 hours, is only a short span of time relative to all your hard work. Try to just relax and have a good time. Treat the performance as a celebration of your hard work rather than an intimidating experience. A concert is a good goal at the end of a long process. If you can get to the point of enjoying the whole process from learning the first note of a piece to performing it, then the concert just becomes a final, natural step in the process of learning a program, rather than the ultimate test of your nerves."

I know all of you are really stressed, esp with mid years coming real soon. Some of you may also be struggling with school work and band(like me) but it will soon be over,5 more days!! Just perservere on for another 5 days. Emmanuel concert is really the last concert you will ever perform with PLCB'10. After this concert, we won't have the same ppl performing another one anymore. Being in PLCB for almost 4 years, putting in so much effort and time, I'm sure you all want to end it well right and not regret it after that. After this saturday, you won't be sitting in the band room every Tuesdays and Thursday practicing with your juniors anymore. So this is like the last week having band prac together. I don't know if all of you will miss it but I'm sure a few will definitely miss it. Even though we did badly today, but I believe if we all just put our heart into it and practise hard the next few days, we can and will put up a great performance. And after that, we will have all the time to study hard and prepare for mid years, prelims and Os. So perservere on!!

To everyone:

We have worked so much and came so far so let's press on and finish this race together.

BAND TRIP WAS AWESOME! I bet everyone agrees with me HEHEHEHE. Except for the getting sick part. GET WELL SOON EVERYONE WHO IS SICK! (L)

Hihihihihihihihihihi everyone~ I am here to post about the KL trip!

Okay here's the attire for the whole trip :
Sunday - School uniform + name tag + school badge
Monday - PL Lite shirt over pinafore
Tuesday - New band shirt + band skirt/pinafore,
New band shirt + jeans + band hoodie/any dark coloured jacket (Genting)
Wednesday - House t-shirt + band skirt/pinafore

Remember to bring :
Passport, phone, charger, school tie, mementos, water bottle, 4 sets of clothes, 4 pairs of socks, 1 pair of shoes, 4 sets of undergarments, 2 sets of sleepwear, 1 pair of slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, towel, facial wash, contact lenses kit, comb, medication, money(not over RM200), a small bag and other stuff that you wanna bring.

VERY IMPORTANT
1. Please remember that the reporting time on Sunday is 7AM and NOT 730AM, at the parade square. DO NOT BE LATE.
2. If you haven't gotten Mr Alvin Yeo's number (for your parents to contact in case of emergency), get it either from me or Adear. MUST MUST MUST give his number to your parents!

Hi everyone~~
CCA Fair is this Saturday (090110). Please be in the band room by 8AM and attire is PL Lite shirt with band skirt and Shrek / green hairband (if you have) hehehehe so exciting~ Oh it will end at 1130AM.

Okay now for the list of new rules....
Rules regarding attendance-taking :
- All band members are to be in the band room about 15 minutes before band practice starts with instrument set up
- Doors will be locked at the start of attendance-taking (no one is to enter or exit)
- All who are in the band room but have not set up their instruments will stand during attendance-taking
- Those locked out will report to Deanna after band practice
- If band members have lessons that end late, they must inform their Section leaders or the 5 heads (Adear, Deanna, Esther, Izabella, Cristy). They are expected to be in the band room half an hour after the end of their lesson
- Band members who talk during attendance-taking will stand

Other rules :
- Band members are not allowed to let other band members hold / play their instruments to enforce a sense of ownership and responsibility
- Shoes should be arranged in a neat row outside the band room or in the shoe racks
- Band members must inform their section leaders whenever they need to leave sectionals or band practice
- All school rules apply during band practice
- When anyone is speaking on the podium, band members should not be packing their bags or keeping their instruments out of respect for the leader or teacher

Punishment :
Late coming (with no valid reason) - 2 rounds and 20 sit-ups
Skipping band practices with no valid reason - 3 rounds and 30 sit-ups per practice skipped
Breaking of shool rules - 3 rounds and 30 sit-ups
Dropping of instrument - 3 rounds and 30 sit-ups
Dropping of reed / mouthpiece - 2 rounds and 20 sit-ups
Letting people from other sections touch your instrument - 1 round and 10 sit-ups but if instrument is played, 3 rounds and 30 sit-ups. Applies to both the owner of the instrument and the person who touched it. If the person is not a band member, the band member's punishment is doubled.
Skipping section duty - Band member will have to clean the band room for one week (2 practices) with the section on duty.

okay I am here to say..

1) GOOD JOB for the performance on 6 Dec:D:D. We did fine and we had fun right?? Don't you all feel accomplished?We actually spent a Sunday in sch:) haha so THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!!:D:D We are having a break now so do ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS LEFT AND RMB TO FINISH UP ALL YOUR HOMEWORK!!!

2) Next band prac is 22 Dec(Tues) 9am to 12pm. Attire is band shirt and band skirt. For Sec 1s, you all can wear band skirt with your PL-Lite shirt:)

3) Like Ms Tan said, please rmb to place your shoes neatly in a straight row outside the band room or else your shoes will go missing one day and you will nvr find it! haha

Okay lastly, I think we are going to start posting up more updates in this blog next year and revive it since it is sooooo dead. ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS. SEE YOU ALL NEXT BAND PRAC.

All sections please remember to prepare an item for the sec 4 farewell on 2nd July for your beloved sec 4 seniors. You can do anyhting you want (dance, sing, poem, rap). It's all up to you. Section leaders please take charge!

AND
If you have travelled to any of the H1N1 affected areas as defined by MOH ie. USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, Mexico, Spain & Chile (as of 14 June), you are advised to do the following in the 7 days from your return:
a)stay at home
b)do not participate in any school activity, and
c)update the school of your well-being

If you are unwell with flu-like symptoms, you are advised to call the dedicated ambulance to take you to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
